Michael Carrick says Senne Lammens "takes the chaos away" for Manchester United.
The goalkeeper was man of the match following his outstanding performance in the 1-0 win at Everton on Monday.
"Bloody good," was the blunt response of Everton manager David Moyes.
Lammens made a brilliant fingertip save to deny a ferocious Michael Keane effort, then came confidently to deal with a succession of crosses and corners dropped under his crossbar as Everton exerted pressure to find an equaliser.
It was all a far cry from the League Cup defeat at League Two Grimsby in August, when Andre Onana failed to command his own six-yard box, and the numerous errors Altay Bayindir made during his six-match stint as first choice, which did not produce a clean sheet.
Lammens now has five, including two in three games, something United have not achieved in over a year.
"Instead of creating a chaos, you want him to take the chaos away and calm things down," said Carrick.
"Senne is quite quiet and unassuming at times, but he's got a real steel.
"The jump he made to come here is huge. To take it like he has done and just get on with things speaks volumes about his personality.
"The last 15 minutes was a tough place for him, with the amount of corners and crosses he had to deal with.
"But he just catches them and takes this thing out of it. To be able to do that in such a manner is obviously pleasing."
