Dybala aims to return vs Juventus

There are games that aren’t played with your feet alone, but with your memory.

For Paulo Dybala, the one against Juventus is one of them. Since wearing the Roma jersey, he’s faced them five times without ever managing to score.

This is a stinging statistic, especially given that the club on the other side decided not to invest in him in 2022. The moment, moreover, is not the easiest.

Knee pain has kept him sidelined for the last four league games.

After several medical consultations, the decision was clear: continue with conservative treatment and targeted work to get him back on his feet as quickly as possible.

The goal is to have him available for Sunday night’s Champions League clash, a game that could be incredibly important.

There’s little certainty about Dybala today. But his feelings have changed compared to a few days ago. Dybala is feeling much better; he worked both Sunday and yesterday with personalized training sessions at Trigoria, and the responses have been encouraging. The discomfort has eased, his confidence is growing, and even the medical staff is cautiously optimistic.

This is why the chances of him at least being included in the squad against Juventus are significantly increasing. It wouldn’t just be a technical recovery, but also an emotional one.

For Roma, it would mean welcoming back their talent at the most delicate moment; for Dybala, however, it would be the chance to return to prominence against Juventus. And certain stories in football are just waiting for the right moment to be rewritten.
