SGA was MIA from “Jeopardy!” contestants’ minds on Monday night.
Three people competing on the popular trivia game show failed to answer a clue about NBA superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and given how easy the prompt was, it left social media users’ heads spinning.

The category was “Jump Through These Hoops,” and after one of the contestants chose the $800 clue, host Ken Jennings read off a hint that even the most novice basketball fan could answer.
“SGA — this guy,” Jennings said as a picture of the Thunder guard popped up on the screen, “won the 2024-25 NBA MVP award to go along with the scoring title and NBA championship.”
All three competitors — Trey, Zach and Katie — stood with blank stares on their faces, before their allotted time to respond ran out.
“SGA is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander,” Jennings said before the show pressed onward.
Plenty watching the program raced to their keyboards to throw shade at the show’s contenders, with one writing on X, “Sports categories are always a struggle for the nerds.”
Another added, “Unreal, why do these jokers know nothing about sports.”
If the trio wants to educate themselves on Gilgeous-Alexander’s game, they’ll have to wait a bit to see it live — the four-time All-Star will miss Tuesday night’s game against the Raptors as he’s still dealing with an abdominal strain.
