Brewers Acquire RHP Dustin May From Cardinals

The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired right-handed pitcher Dustin May from the St. Louis Cardinals, adding him to their rotation alongside reliever JoJo Romero.

Milwaukee sent prospects Alexander Frias and Josiah Ragsdale to St. Louis in exchange for the 6-foot-6 hurler. May holds a career-best 8.8 strikeout rate per nine innings, though his 4.38 ERA is inflated by a .322 batting average on balls in play. The team is hoping a change of scenery will improve his real-world performance. Additionally, May carries a $20 million mutual option for 2027. realschule-moosburg.de

St. Louis receives Frias, the No. 11 prospect in Milwaukee's system, and Ragsdale, the No. 13 prospect, both outfielders. The Cardinals are currently four games out of a wild-card spot as the trade deadline approaches.
