Cain Velasquez Released Early From Prison

Former UFC champion Cain Velasquez was released on parole after serving 11 months in prison for an attempted murder case. The ex-wrestler, who had brief stints in WWE and AAA, is now free.

Cain Velasquez, who fought in the UFC and briefly appeared in WWE and AAA, was released on parole after pleading no contest to attempted murder charges stemming from a 2022 shooting incident. He served 1,283 days, including time on house arrest, and was freed after 11 months behind bars.

Velasquez’s legal troubles followed a confrontation with Harry Goularte Jr., who had previously abused his son. While Velasquez was aiming to shoot Goularte, he struck the man's father instead. He is now pursuing a civil case against Goularte, while his wrestling career remains on hold.
