CBF Sets $1M Player Bonuses for 2026 World Cup

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has agreed to pay US$1 million to each player if the national team wins the 2026 World Cup.

The CBF board and squad leaders finalized negotiations for title bonuses. According to journalist Marcel Rizzo, each player will receive approximately US$1 million (about R$5.4 million) if Brazil secures its sixth World Cup title. This brings the federation's total investment in squad bonuses to over R$135 million.

This investment sits alongside FIFA's prize pool of US$50 million for the tournament winner. The team, currently coached by Carlo Ancelotti, will face Panama and Egypt in upcoming warm-up friendlies before the group stage begins in June.
