Chelsea have signed Argentina international Valentín Barco from Strasbourg on a seven-year deal. The 22-year-old left-back becomes manager Xabi Alonso's eighth arrival.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Argentina international Valentín Barco from sister club Strasbourg. The versatile 22-year-old, who can play as a left-back or in midfield, joins on a seven-year contract. palladian.co.za

Barco previously had a spell at Brighton, making seven appearances including six in the Premier League during the 2023-24 season. He becomes the eighth arrival under new manager Xabi Alonso as the Blues continue their squad rebuilding.
