Coen Wants Walker So Dominant He Must Be Removed

Jaguars' Liam Coen wants Travon Walker to be so disruptive in practice that he must be removed for the offense to function, comparing the desired impact to Aaron Donald's.

Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, having seen Aaron Donald's disruptive impact during his Rams tenure, wants Travon Walker to reach a similar level. "I need to be taking you out of practice so that we can operate on offense," Coen told Walker during a nearly two-hour end-of-season meeting.

Walker, who recorded 10-plus sacks in both 2023 and 2024, is focused on elevating his game. "It's just time to ramp things up, take it to the next level," Walker said of Coen's comparison to Donald. Walker's new four-year, $110 million contract with $77 million guaranteed reflects his value to the team.
