Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy says he was cut off by Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark after a Barstool Live incident involving former Iowa coach Fran McCaffery.

Barstool founder Dave Portnoy claimed Caitlin Clark blocked him on X after a confrontation on Barstool Live that revolved around comments on former Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. The dispute began when host Rico Bosco handed Portnoy a phone that turned out to belong to a McCaffery family member, leading to a heated exchange.

Portnoy said he tried to reach Clark for a pizza review during the Final Four, but received no response. Clark is preparing for her third WNBA season, while the league’s new collective bargaining agreement will kick off the 2026 season on May 8.
