Georgia State Unveils 5-Year Plan to Raise $10M in Fundraising

Georgia State University Athletics has announced a five‑year plan to raise annual fundraising to $10 million and lift fan attendance by 50%, focusing on facility upgrades and student‑athlete support.

The strategy, guided by Athletics Director Charlie Cobb and President M. Brian Blake, will appoint a general manager to oversee revenue growth and expand name, image and likeness opportunities. It aims to raise $10 million annually and increase attendance by 50%.

Key projects include a new baseball stadium, covered football practice field, basketball and volleyball practice facilities, a softball stadium, beach volleyball venue, tennis courts, and hospitality areas, building on the recently completed Convocation Center and MLK Soccer Complex. The plan also targets over $3 million in revenue sharing for student‑athletes through NIL and other initiatives.
