Giants Cut QB Jake Haener

The New York Giants are waiving quarterback Jake Haener, leaving only Jameis Winston behind starter Jaxson Dart.

The Giants' decision comes after Haener went 9-of-10 for 116 yards and a touchdown during the preseason. The team may re-sign either Haener or recently cut Brandon Allen to the practice squad. rocore.sbs

Haener has played in eight games with one start in 2024 with the Saints, throwing for 226 yards with one touchdown and one interception in regular-season action.
