FIFA president Gianni Infantino dodged critical questions about his leadership during a visit to the Dominican Republic, instead joking about a Sky News reporter's baldness. When asked if he had betrayed the football community's trust and why he refuses to resign, Infantino replied: "Thank you. You have a nice hairpiece. We'll see each other at the barber's" before the car door was closed and he was driven away.

The incident comes amid controversy over FIFA's failed plans to involve private investors in organizing World Cup tournaments. Several national associations and regional confederations have recently demanded Infantino's resignation following the controversy.

– At vi ikke fikk dette for et kvarter siden. Det hadde gjort dette vesentlig mer spennende, for dette er skikkelig regn, sa Viaplay-kommentator Atle Gulbrandsen.
