Larson Leads Kernels with Third-Place Finish

Mia Larson shot a season-best 3-over-par 75 to finish third individually at the Hub City Invitational, while Maddie Childs shot 77 and finished fourth. The Mitchell High School girls golf team placed second overall with a 323, behind winner Aberdeen Central (295). Aberdeen Central's Kyley Wirebaugh won the individual title with a 3-under-par 69, the second-best score by a South Dakota girl this spring. moryak.biz

Mitchell competed with only five golfers due to two players being unavailable. The Kernels return to action on Monday, May 4 at the Sioux Falls Washington Invitational.
