Ramsey Retires From Professional Football

Wales captain and former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has retired from professional football at age 35, having been without a club since leaving Pumas UNAM last year.

The Welsh international, who scored 21 goals in 86 appearances for Wales, played a key role in their historic run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals and represented his country at Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.

Ramsey began his career at Cardiff City before moving to Arsenal in 2008, where he won three FA Cups during his 11-year stint. He later played for Juventus and Nice, and returned to Cardiff as interim head coach last season. The 35-year-old plans to pursue a career in coaching after his retirement.
