Reds Rally Past Marlins in 10th

The Cincinnati Reds overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Miami Marlins 6-3 in extra innings, rallying against former Cy Young winner Sandy Alcantara's strong pitching performance.

The Cincinnati Reds staged a dramatic comeback against Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara on Tuesday, overcoming a 2-0 deficit to win 6-3 in extra innings. Alcantara had held the Reds scoreless for eight innings before being pulled in the ninth.

Trailing 2-0 with one out in the ninth, Matt McLain's double and Elly De La Cruz's walk set up the Reds' rally. A double steal, sac fly, and wild pitch tied the game before Cincinnati exploded for four runs in the tenth to secure the victory. McLain finished with two doubles and was named the Joe Nuxhall Memorial Honorary Star of the Game.
