Rockies Sign Veteran Catcher Knizner to Minor League Deal

The Colorado Rockies are adding veteran catcher Andrew Knizner to their 2026 roster on a minor league contract.

The 31-year-old, who owns a career .596 OPS, was released by the Seattle Mariners earlier this month. He has previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers, and San Francisco Giants.

With five years of MLB service time, Knizner has the right to reject a minor league assignment. He joins Brett Sullivan as depth behind starting catcher Hunter Goodman.
