Saints waive Austin, Welch

The Saints waived wide receiver Kevin Austin Jr. and tight end Treyton Welch on Monday.

New Orleans made corresponding roster moves after claiming offensive tackle Mason Murphy from the Bears and defensive tackle Colby Wooden from the Colts. Austin, 26, appeared in 16 games over two seasons with the Saints, catching 13 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown in eight contests last season. Welch, 25, played in three games with one start in 2025, logging 16 offensive snaps and 21 special teams snaps. liveiplscore.homes
