Santner out of NZ-Canada clash due to 'dodgy burger'

Canada won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand in Group D. Stand-in captain Daryl Mitchell announced that regular skipper Mitchell Santner is sick and will miss the game.

Mitchell cited a 'dodgy burger' as the cause of Santner's illness, with Cole McConchie replacing him in the XI. New Zealand also made a change to the pace attack, bringing in Kyle Jamieson for Lockie Ferguson, who returned home for the birth of his first child.

A win would secure New Zealand's place in the Super 8s.
