Schauffele's shot lands in merchandise bag

Xander Schauffele's tee shot on the par-5 eighth hole at the Masters landed in a spectator's merchandise bag, but he continued play without penalty and made par.

During Thursday's play at Augusta National, Schauffele's drive appeared to come to rest in a merchandise bag just feet from the fairway. The golfer used a tee to mark the spot, removed the ball, and handed the bag to a spectator before continuing his round.

Schauffele made par on the hole and finished the front nine at 1 under par despite some shaky moments on the ninth hole where his tee shot landed in pine straw and his second shot found a bunker.
