Scheffler, who has won the Masters twice (once with each child born), has been focused on family life since his daughter Remy was born on March 27. The world No. 1 withdrew from the Houston Open to be with his wife during the birth and has not competed since The Players Championship in mid-March.
Despite being away from competition, Scheffler remains the favorite at Augusta. He won his first tournament of the year at The American Express in January and had top-five finishes at Phoenix and Pebble Beach, though he has been outside the top 10 in his last three events before his paternity leave. The father of two joked that his children don't yet understand the significance of the green jacket he sometimes wears.
