Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson criticizes Arne Slot's use of a back five in Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final first leg against PSG, calling it the 'wrong signal'.

In the 2-0 defeat to PSG, Liverpool employed a defensive formation used only once before this season - in their October defeat to Crystal Palace. With 74% possession and 18 shots to Liverpool's three, Robinson noted the Reds were 'nowhere near' their French opponents.

'That's not playing to Liverpool's strengths, it's defending their weaknesses,' he stated. The match marked Liverpool's first Champions League match without a shot on target since November 2020.
