Texans Sign WR Montrell Washington

The Houston Texans announced Wednesday they've signed wide receiver Montrell Washington to help address depth at the position after DJ Turner was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury. In a corresponding move, the team waived defensive lineman Junior Tafuna, who signed with Houston as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and spent time on the practice squad.

Washington appeared in 15 regular-season games with the Broncos in 2022, catching four of nine targets for 2 yards while rushing five times for 30 yards. Tafuna, who signed a futures contract with the Texans in January, will now look for a new opportunity with another team. sports24.club
