Torino Fires Baroni, Hires D'Aversa

Torino has fired Marco Baroni and appointed Roberto D'Aversa as new coach following a 3-0 defeat at Genoa.

Marco Baroni was dismissed after Torino suffered their fourth consecutive winless match, playing the entire second half with 10 men during the 3-0 loss at Genoa. The club currently sits 15th in Serie A, just three points above the relegation zone.

Roberto D'Aversa, 50, has signed a contract until June 30. The Italian-born Stuttgart native previously coached Empoli, Lecce, Sampdoria, Parma, and Virtus Lanciano in his managerial career.
