Towns Powers Knicks Past Bulls

Karl-Anthony Towns recorded his NBA-leading 39th double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds, helping the New York Knicks defeat the Chicago Bulls 105-99 on Sunday night.

The Knicks secured their second consecutive victory while extending the Bulls' losing streak to nine games, their longest since January 2019. Jalen Brunson added 19 points and nine assists for New York, while Mikal Bridges hit a crucial 3-pointer with 27 seconds remaining to seal the win. Landry Shamet contributed 16 points for the Knicks, who shot 44.7% from the floor after overcoming an 18-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Matas Buzelis led Chicago with 15 points, but the Bulls were missing guards Jaden Ivey and Anfernee Simons due to injuries. The Knicks were also without center Mitchell Robinson, who sat out for left ankle injury management.
