Venus Williams accepts wildcard for Indian Wells 2026

45-year-old Venus Williams has accepted a wildcard to play singles and doubles at the BNP Paribas Open, marking her return to the tournament she once boycotted.

Venus Williams will compete in both singles and doubles at Indian Wells, beginning March 1, 2026. The 45-year-old tennis legend joins forces with Leylah Fernandez in doubles as she targets the first leg of the 2026 Sunshine Double.

This appearance comes after a successful career renaissance and marks a return to the prestigious event, which the Williams sisters boycotted following a racist incident in 2001.
