Vålerenga Signs Young Goalkeeper Lønning

Vålerenga has secured the signature of 23-year-old goalkeeper Sander Lønning from Egersund after beating off competition from Sandefjord.

The young keeper has signed a three and a half year contract with the Oslo club. Lønning expressed his excitement about the move, stating he is "enormously looking forward to getting started and getting to know the team and club better."

With a Norwegian father and Swedish mother, Lønning holds dual citizenship. Both Vålerenga and Sandefjord had their bids for the 23-year-old accepted, but it was Vålerenga who ultimately won the race for his signature. The club has confirmed the transfer on their official website. djcc.club
