New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh expressed a strong desire to retain three key impending unrestricted free agents, calling them players the team wants back for the 2026 season.
Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Harbaugh highlighted right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, slot receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, and cornerback Cor’Dale Flott as priorities.
"All guys that we want back," he said. "You want the guys back. Now it's, 'OK, do we have the wherewithal to bring them back? Is it a good use of resources, which is the cap?'"
Harbaugh's comments touch on the challenges facing general manager Joe Schoen amid tight salary-cap constraints. The Giants project just over $5 million in space under a $303.5 million cap, already slightly over when factoring in rookie signings.
Schoen has emphasized flexibility through potential cuts or restructures, stating the team will create "as much as we need" room depending on free agent values emerging this week.
Eluemunor, the team's starting right tackle, started all 16 games in 2025, surpassing 1,000 snaps for the first time while allowing 19 pressures and 4.0 sacks. Though unlikely to command a top-tier market -- earlier estimates suggested around $21 million annually -- he remains a solid, familiar piece.
Robinson enjoyed a breakout 2025, posting career highs with 92 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns in his first 1,000-yard season.
Flott came off a breakout campaign at cornerback, boosting his value.
Retaining the trio could strain resources as the Giants balance re-signings with other needs, testing Schoen’s cap management in Harbaugh’s new era.
