The New England Patriots had a superb 2025 season, reaching the Super Bowl, but ultimately fell short.
Now, the task at Mike Vrabel's feet and in his front office is to figure out how to get better and become champions.
One major weakness was the offensive line. The other was at receiver, as aside from Stefon Diggs, Drake Maye didn't have much to throw to.
And now, here come rumors that the Patriots could be in for Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown.
With Vrabel at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, he was asked about trading for Brown and was, of course, tight-lipped.
"I think that we'll look at everything that we can possibly look at to add to our roster," Vrabel said via Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald. "And again, there's a lot of things that go into trades. There's a lot of back and forth and taking on compensation. And so I'm sure there'll be a lot of opportunities for us to talk about trades, not only this week, but as we prepare and get closer to the draft."

Could Patriots lure Brown away?
Absolutely, they could.
And as it turns out, Vrabel might play the biggest role, having been with Brown in Tennessee.
The question is the asking price and how much the Patriots are willing to part ways with, because we can imagine the Eagles playing hardball with their top receiver.
Getting Maye someone like Brown could be hugely beneficial, but it would come at a steep cost.
Then again, winning a Super Bowl requires a team to go all in at times, and if the Patriots were to sign Brown, then they would once again be in the thick of contention.
