Social media reacts to Texas A&M's 10-0 run-rule victory over VT

Texas A&M baseball improved to 9-0 on the season with another dominant performance at the plate, as the Aggies run-ruled Virginia Tech 10-0 at Globe Life Field in Arlington on Friday night.

Chris Hacopian's return to the lineup was a much-welcomed sight, as the Maryland transfer mashed his first home run as an Aggie in his first at-bat. The first inning solo homer was followed by a pitcher's duel between Texas A&M and Virginia Tech through the next five innings, but the Maroon and White quickly busted things open with an eight-run sixth inning against the Hokies.

Right fielder Terrence Kiel II had another outstanding performance, as he knocked in two runs and stole his fourth base of 2026. Kiel leads Texas A&M's starters in batting average and stolen bases through the first nine games of the season.

Meanwhile, starting pitcher Shane Sdao struck out five hitters and allowed just four hits and a walk against the Hokies' lineup. Coming off a season-ending injury in 2025, the lefty has not missed a step in his return, as he continues to impress on the mound.

Following back-to-back run-rule victories, the Aggies turn their attention to No. 1 UCLA. Texas A&M is set to take on the Bruins on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT for Game 2 of the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field.
