Chargers players disrepect head coach Jim Harbaugh

In the newly released 2026 NFLPA Player Report Cards, Chargers players have sparked headlines by giving head coach Jim Harbaugh a shockingly low C+ grade, despite taking them to the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

This mark ranks him as the third-lowest graded coach in the NFL for the 2025 season, trailing only former Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski (C-) and former Giants head coach Brian Daboll (C).

The C+ grade is a significant dip from the B+ Harbaugh received after his first year in 2024.

Players ranked Harbaugh 32nd out of 32 coaches in being efficient with their time. He also ranked 26th in his receptiveness to player feedback.

The lowest individual grade in the report card went to former offensive coordinator Greg Roman (D-), who was let go after the season. Retaining Roman for the 2025 season despite significant struggles was one of the biggest factors in Harbaugh's low mark.

Furthermore, there are some speculations that players who were phased out of the regular game plan or felt disgruntled may have used the anonymous survey to voice their frustrations, including tight ends Tyler Conklin and Will Dissly. Guard Mekhi Becton publicly voiced his criticism following the season.
