Caleb Williams has NFL experts and analysts talking about Year 3

The offseason has barely kicked off, but experts and NFL fans have their sights set on the potential of Caleb Williams. He already has very high odds to be next season's MVP, and people are projecting a special season which would mark a step further than his 2025 breakthrough.

In a recent Bears Wire article, Alyssa Barbieri reacts to experts and analysts who have high hopes for Caleb Williams in Year 3. Here are her thoughts on the Caleb Williams projections:

"Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams made big strides in just one season under head coach Ben Johnson, where he's become a household name known for his incredible ability to create with the game on the line. Now, it's about Williams taking that next step to put his name among the best in the NFL.

Williams set an NFL record with seven fourth-quarter comebacks (including the postseason) while also setting a Bears franchise record with 3,942 passing yards in 2025. With his natural playmaking ability and rapport with Johnson, it's easy to see why many expect Williams to make a huge leap in Year 3."

Caleb Williams himself did things this offseason to avoid taking so many sacks as he did in his rookie season; he was nearly uncatchable. His deep ball improved as well, and he became the leader this team needs. If he takes those same steps to improve his other skills that need to be improved, he will be an even better player because of it. His clutch ability and what he can do in the biggest moments make him a player to watch for being one of the best players in the league very soon.

Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson know they have something special, and with their relationship being as close as it is this early, those two will do everything in their power to take this thing to a whole other level. I think Caleb Williams will be an all-pro next season, and he can even end the season as the best quarterback in the NFC.
