The Old Firm derby had barely got underway at Ibrox before a moment of inspiration struck.

After just eight minutes, Rangers took the lead against their Glaswegian rivals through Youssef Chermiti's overhead kick.

Andreas Skov Olsen sent a speculative early cross into the box and the Gers attacker acrobatically finished into the net with his back to goal.

Chermiti doubled Rangers' lead mid-way through the first half, seizing on a mistake in Celtic's backline and tucking into the net.

The Portuguese player is in fine recent form, now with five goals in his last three appearances.
