NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly will visit Calgary on Monday for a site inspection of Scotia Place, which is considered a leading candidate to host the 2028 World Cup of Hockey. The $1.2 billion arena, scheduled to open in fall 2027, is among a few North American venues being considered for the tournament, with venue announcements expected in two weeks.
