Bottom Wolves stun third-placed Villa

Wolverhampton, last in Premier League, secured a stunning 2-0 victory over third-placed Aston Villa on Friday.

João Gomes scored both goals for Wolves, opening in the 60th minute after Adam Armstrong's assist and sealing the win with a counter-attack in stoppage time. Aston Villa had a shot cleared off the line in injury time but could not find an equalizer.

Norwegian David Møller Wolfe was an unused substitute as Wolves moved off the foot of the table.
