Colorado Buffs Staff Faces Major Turnover

Colorado Buffaloes football staff continues its overhaul with defensive coordinator Robert Livingston departing for the Denver Broncos.

The Colorado Buffaloes are experiencing significant staff turnover, with defensive coordinator Robert Livingston leaving for the Denver Broncos as defensive pass game coordinator. The Buffaloes have now lost 77 years of NFL experience since March 19, 2025, with new coordinators, QB coach, TE coach, DL coach, and CB coach all joining the staff in 2026.

Pat Shurmur moved on from offensive coordinator, replaced by Brennan Marion who should bring more creativity with his Go-Go offense. Chris Marve was promoted to defensive coordinator after a successful run at Virginia Tech. Under Livingston, Colorado's defense improved significantly in 2024, ranking 15th nationally in sacks and allowing just 11.5 points per game in the second half of the season.
