Anthony Richardson, the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, has been given permission by the Indianapolis Colts to seek a trade. Richardson, who has struggled with injuries throughout his young career, lost the competition to be the Colts' starting quarterback to Daniel Jones in 2025. The team intends to keep Jones as their QB1 for 2026 and beyond.
The 23-year-old Richardson started just four games as a rookie before a shoulder injury required surgery. In 2024, he started 11 games but was benched at times, finishing with a 47.7% completion rate, 1,814 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
