ESPN Mock: Willis Signs with Vikings

ESPN's mock negotiation for Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis concludes with him selecting a one-year, $20 million fully guaranteed offer from the Minnesota Vikings.

In ESPN's simulation, three teams made offers to the soon-to-be free agent: the Arizona Cardinals (two years, $33 million), New York Jets (two years, $40 million), and Vikings ($20 million for one year). National reporter Dan Graziano, representing Willis, chose the Minnesota offer, citing the advantage of a one-year deal that would allow Willis to prove his value and potentially secure a larger contract in 2027.

The decision was influenced by Minnesota's offensive structure, coaching staff, and opportunity to play with star receiver Justin Jefferson. Willis would join the Vikings as a backup quarterback option, with the chance to showcase his abilities in a system led by head coach Kevin O'Connell and quarterbacks coach Josh McCown.
