Lebanon Hoops Player Remembered After Cancer Death

Lebanon High School basketball player Jayden Bailey was remembered at a game two days after his death from cancer at age 17.

A tribute table was set up at Beech High School on Feb. 21 featuring Bailey's photo and a QR code linking to a GoFundMe page for his family. The 17-year-old Lebanon basketball player died Feb. 19 after a nearly four-year battle with cancer.

Teammates and coach praised Bailey's passion for basketball, noting he continued to play despite having his left arm amputated last August and dealing with cancer in his stomach. 'He was a hooper, man, you hear me?' coach Jim McDowell said. 'He loved basketball.'
