Leeds United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa have all expressed interest in a loan deal for Manchester City’s James Trafford, who has been sidelined since the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma. Trafford has said he wants regular Premier League minutes to achieve his ambition of becoming England’s number one goalkeeper.
Manchester City, however, prefers a loan rather than a permanent exit, viewing the move as a way to secure playing time while keeping Trafford in their long‑term goalkeeping plans.
