McVay: Won't lose sleep if Rams' backward pass rule fails

Rams coach Sean McVay stated he won't be concerned if a proposed rule change regarding backward passes fails, as it is a rare occurrence.

The Rams proposed changes to NFL rules following their Week 16 game in Seattle, specifically regarding backward passes that are tipped and land beyond the line of scrimmage. McVay explained the proposal aims to treat such tipped balls similarly to fumbles, preventing teams from advancing them.

He noted the play is rare but acknowledged its impact on the game, adding that he wouldn't lose sleep if the proposal does not pass. The Rams also suggested a 40-second limit on booth reviews to speed up the process.
