Philon's Late Jumper Lifts Alabama Past Tennessee

Latrell Wrightsell scored 25 points to lead Alabama (22-7), while Philon came off the bench to score 15 of his 23 points in the second half. Ja'Kobi Gillespie scored 26 points with eight steals and seven assists for Tennessee (20-9), who lost their fourth SEC game after having a double-digit first-half lead.

Tennessee freshman Nate Ament sustained what appeared to be a right knee injury. Alabama will play at Georgia on Tuesday, while Tennessee visits South Carolina.
