Scott McLaughlin Claims Pole at St. Petersburg IndyCar Opener

Scott McLaughlin secured the pole position for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, delivering a strong performance to kick off the NTT IndyCar Series season.

Driving the No. 3 DEX Chevrolet for Team Penske, McLaughlin recorded a lap time of 1:00.5426, marking his third pole at the Florida street circuit. He starts alongside Marcus Ericsson on the front row, while rookie Dennis Hauger qualified third and reigning champion Alex Palou fourth.
