Tiwary jokes IPL contracts at stake vs West Indies

Ahead of a crucial ICC T20 World Cup Super 8 clash against the West Indies, former cricketer Manoj Tiwary joked that India's failure to qualify could impact their future IPL prospects.

"India have scored 256 in their last match, so from that position, they should go through. If they can't defeat the West Indies, no one will get IPL contracts," Tiwary said during a discussion on Cricbuzz.

Former opener Virender Sehwag offered a measured perspective, noting that no team is invincible and reminding fans of the emotional reaction to the loss to South Africa. The winner of Sunday's match at Eden Gardens secures the final semi-final spot, with England, New Zealand, and South Africa already through.
