Evansville Athletes Shine at IHSAA Boys Swimming Finals

Carmel High School extended its 12‑year title streak with 408 points at the IHSAA boys swimming finals, while Mount Vernon’s Ozzy Jankowski and Memorial’s Caden Zeidler earned podium spots.

Carmel High School’s Greyhounds capped a 12‑year title streak with 408 team points, out‑scoring Penn (247) and Homestead (201) at the IHSAA state championship held at the Indiana University Natatorium.

Mount Vernon senior Ozzy Jankowski finished third in the 100‑meter butterfly (48.69) and fourth in the 100‑meter backstroke (49.74), while Memorial’s Caden Zeidler took fifth in the 100‑meter freestyle (45.59) and seventh in the 50‑meter freestyle (20.84). Other Evansville‑area swimmers included Castle’s Nathaniel Seibert (22nd, 100‑free) and Jasper’s Grant Wehr (17th, 100‑butterfly).
