Flyers beat Maple Leafs in shootout, extend win streak

Matvei Michkov and Trevor Zegras scored in the shootout as the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 on Monday.

Noah Cates scored late in regulation to give Philadelphia the lead, which held until the shootout. Auston Matthews scored Toronto's first shootout attempt, but he and Max Domi failed to convert the rest.

The win extends the Flyers' winning streak to three games. For Toronto, the loss is their fourth straight, while captain Auston Matthews extended his goal-scoring drought to eight games.
