Local Girls Basketball Teams Chase District 11 Titles

Three local high school girls basketball teams are set to compete for District 11 championships this weekend, with Weatherly facing Bethlehem Christian in Class A, Williams Valley taking on Marian Catholic in Class 2A, and Allentown Central Catholic meeting Blue Mountain in Class 4A.

Three local high school girls basketball teams are competing for District 11 championships this weekend. In Class A action, Weatherly (7-15 regular season) faces Bethlehem Christian (16-3) on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Easton High School. The Wreckers have won three of their last four games after defeating Notre Dame in the semifinals, while the Panthers are riding a 12-game winning streak.

Other championship matchups include Class 2A's Williams Valley versus Marian Catholic on Friday at 6 p.m. at Martz Hall, where the teams split their regular-season series, and Class 4A's Allentown Central Catholic against Blue Mountain on Saturday at Easton High School. Additionally, Pine Grove will face Notre Dame Green Pond in the Class 3A consolation game on Friday at Catasauqua High School with the winner advancing to the PIAA State Playoffs.
