Steelers DB Wagner, part of dynasty, dies at 76

Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Mike Wagner, a key part of the team's Steel Curtain dynasty, has died at age 76, the franchise announced.

Wagner, who recorded interceptions in the Steelers' first two Super Bowl victories, was a member of four championship teams during his 10-season career with the team. Selected in the 11th round of the 1971 NFL Draft, he earned two Pro Bowl nods and finished with 36 interceptions.

The Steelers recognized Wagner's significant contributions, noting his 'toughness and consistency' that were 'paramount to our secondary.' No cause of death was provided.
