Texas A&M Signs Icelandic Midfielder Brynja Knudsen for 2026

Texas A&M Soccer announced the signing of Brynja Knudsen, a Reykjavik native who will join the 2026 squad as a midfielder. The move marks the second Icelandic player in program history and is expected to strengthen the team’s midfield depth.

Knudsen has 12 caps for Iceland’s youth national teams, including five U17 matches in 2024 and three U19 appearances in 2025. Her experience in Iceland’s top division and international youth competitions brings technical skill and a competitive mentality to the Aggies.
