Aaron Rodgers joined The Pat McAfee Showon Wednesday, with many hoping the four-time MVP would let everyone know if he intended to continue his NFL career. Rodgers made it clear that he would not be making a decision today, which now keeps Steelers fans on watch for their next quarterback. There was one interesting note to take away from the conversation, though.

During the conversation with Rodgers, the two sides discussed the hiring of Mike McCarthy, and McAfee revealed that the Steelers reached out to him during the hiring process.

“I was actually asked, though, by the Pittsburgh Steelers people… like, ‘Hey, what was his this person like to deal with?’” McAfee said. “And it’s like, hey, every week this person was more prepared than anyone else.”

McCarthy made frequent appearances on McAfee’s show throughout the 2025 season. The Steelers named McCarthy their head coach in late January, and now we wait to see if Rodgers will be his quarterback, once again.
