Bengals Skip Franchise Tag on Hendrickson

The Cincinnati Bengals have decided not to use the franchise tag on star defensive end Trey Hendrickson, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Hendrickson missed over half of the 2025 season due to injury, which likely influenced the team's decision. The former All-Pro has recorded 236 tackles and 81 sacks during his NFL career. After declining to extend him last year, the Bengals appear ready to move on, leaving Hendrickson to seek a new contract in his tenth season.
